NIGTC on Non-Canonical Works

It is rumoured that David Aune is writing a commentary on the Letters of Ignatius, and the Shepherd of Hermas, for a two-volume supplement on non-canonical works in the NIGTC series (as well as a book on early Christian Worship - which I'm really looking forward to). Does anyone know what other works they'll cover in this series? I'm trying to find some good material, or even a good commentary on 1 Clement - not as easy as I thought it would be.

Sean,
In talking to the NIGTC editor I. Howard Marshall, I think that contribution is somewhat up in the air. David Aune was meant to be co-authoring a commentary on the Gk txt of the AF with David Wright. Sadly, David Wright passed away last year. I do not know if Aune intends to proceed and do the entire work by himself.

I don't know of any good, comprehensive commentaries on 1 Clement in English. Some smaller commentaries include W. K. Lowther Clarke, Robert M. Grant, and of course the older commentary by J. B. Lightfoot. If you read German the most comprehensive commentary available is by Horacio E. Lona,
Der erste Clemensbrief: Übersetzt und erklärt. Kommentar zu den Apostolischen Vätern 2 (Edited by N. Brox, G. Kretschmar and K. Niederwimmer. Göttingen: Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, 1998).

There are a number of full-length studies of the book, including Barbara Ellen Bowe, Harold Bertram Bumpus, Edmund Warner Fisher, John Fuellenbach, and Donald Hagner. If you are interested, I can send you a fairly comprehensive bibliography on 1 Clement.
