Great list Sean.
I gotta ask--could you expand a little on Contagious Holiness? I haven't read it myself. Have you blogged on it previously?
Greetings JB. Unfortunately, I read Contagious Holiness [brilliant title!] straight after reading Marcus Borg's Conflict, Holiness and Politics in the Teachings of Jesus, and The God of Jesus by Patterson, which BOTH treated the topic of Table Fellowship with sinners in a MUCH better way. Blomberg was concerned with grammatical issues, while Borg and Patterson with historical analysis and exegesis. Blomberg's comments were rather shallow and not provocative, like I believe Jesus was. So I was disappointed. Even Crossan was better on this topic, which means a LOT for me to say that!
